Capcem™ 50 Capsules
Capcem™ 50 capsules are supplied as ready to use dry powder encapsulated in a water permeable skin.
When required for use, the capsules are soaked in water which is absorbed through the skin, forming a thixotropic non-shrink grout.
The capsules absorb the correct amount of water and can be used where rock temperature is in the range 40°C to 60°C.
We provide you with solutions for both active and passive methods of rock support wherever you are.
Our products range from various steel and Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bolts to steel arches, meshes and shotcretes.
Our offering can help you with:
Roof and ground control
Slope stabilisation
Rock fall
Permanent and temporary rock bolting
Spiling
Converging/yielding areas
Bolts alone may not be enough.
Many applications require additional components to ensure the desired results.
We provide steel and GFRP accessories that work in combination with our products for you to achieve the best outcomes. From drill bits, couplings, meshes to plates and nuts and trusses. Our portfolio works to provide you with the right solutions wherever you are.
Lokset capsules are filled with a reinforced thixotropic polyester resin in one compartment and a catalysed mastic filler in the other, separated by a physical barrier. The rotation of the bolt during installation ruptures the capsule, shreds the skin and mixes the two components causing a chemical reaction and transforming the resin mastic into a solid anchor.
